The beautiful fall weather in Bucerias has arrived, and with it, we’re thrilled to welcome our friends from the north who are returning to this warm and vibrant community. Your arrival fills us with joy and renewed enthusiasm for the Casa De La Paz project!
Recently, we hosted a successful cleanup at the construction site, thanks to an amazing group of dedicated volunteers. These passionate individuals shared with us their heartfelt motivation to support Casa De La Paz, inspired by their compassion for senior citizens and a strong belief in the impact of this project.
The cleanup was a crucial step in preparing the site for the installation of doors and windows, bringing us closer to realizing our vision. They did such a great job that there was no need to come for the second day which had originally been scheduled.
But that’s not all! This weekend was even more special thanks to an incredible fundraiser hosted by Thai Bistro Bucerias at Luna Lounge. Despite some unseasonable rain, the event was a resounding success, with a fantastic turnout.
All credit goes to Kullanit Pung and her husband Steve, who organized the event with remarkable spirit and energy. Their enthusiasm was infectious, drawing a fantastic crowd despite the rainy weather. To top it off, they prepared mouthwatering chili and brownies that kept everyone’s spirits high and taste buds delighted.
The founders and driving force behind Casa De La Paz, Jim and Marylin Moxin were also in attendance. They expressed their excitement and gratitude, noting how wonderful it is to witness the community’s enthusiastic support for the project they started years ago.
A huge shout-out to Luna Lounge for generously donating 25% of the bar service and providing the perfect venue for the event. And a heartfelt thank you to all the local businesses and individuals who contributed prizes for the raffle, making the evening even more memorable. The generosity and unity shown by the Bucerias community have been simply outstanding!
It’s truly inspiring to see how everyone has come together, driving momentum and progress for Casa De La Paz. We are eager to continue this journey and look forward to many more events and fundraisers in the near future.
